RAMP Association

Welcome to our website.

Thank you for stopping by our website. RAMP (Real Access for More People) was formed to increase public awareness of the barriers faced by individuals with disabilities in our town of McAlester, Oklahoma in obtaining equal access to goods and services. Two of our members work for an Independent Living Center and have prior training in Accessible design. We currently consist of five charter members but membership is open to any member of the public who shares our interest in these issues.

The purpose of RAMP is to make businesses and service providers aware, by education and example, that people using wheelchairs and having other types of disabilities are in the community and deserve the same rights to goods and services as everyone else.

Our first Official Protest

Our philosophy is: "Based on need, with drive to succeed." or "Rolling to a curb near you."
